A couple from Connecticut was looking for a break and thought the Finger Lakes looked like a great place to unwind and explore. When we arrived at the Finger Lakes Welcome Center the conditions were perfect for a paddle across the north end of Seneca Lake. A light west by north west wind made small lapping waves as we set out from the docks. The crowds at Niagara Falls prompted them to seek a more relaxing enviroment and the Finger Lakes were delivering on every level. The wineries, state parks, and shopping checked every box for their relaxation vacation and kayaking on Seneca Lake was just the adventure they were looking for. A Bald Eagle flew overhead as we returned from the state park beach. A perfect end to an idyllic tour and a great memory of the Finger Lakes.
