7/24/2022 – Seneca Lake, A Rainy Day
A strong south wind and scattered showers didn’t deter a beginner paddler from exploring Seneca Lake. It was definitely a step up in difficulty after only paddling on a pond before. After some instruction on the shore a how to handle wind and waves we set off from the Finger Lakes Welcome Center. It didn’t take long for us to get used to the white caps and start having fun. After a few hours of bouncing around in the lake, we ended the tour with a lesson on the best way to secure your kayak to a roof rack. A day of learning and adventure.
